Hotfix 1.01 released

The first update 1.01 to Two Worlds II has appeared. Below you can read the patch notes:

  • fixed crash in singleplayer campaign during streaming of levels (CD icon) or during teleportation.
  •  
  • fixed one crash in multiplayer.
  •  
  • fixed quality of rendering ogg videos (when HD video option is off)
  •  
  • if game crashes while playing wmv videos then it is switched to ogg mode and next time ogg will be played.
  •  
  • fixed missing in shops magic cards: Air Life and Air Lightning.
  •  
  • fixed type of potion ingredients generated in village shops.
  •  
  • fixed endless invisibility spell error.
  •  
  • fixed wrong direction of camera in sniper mode in reversed vertical view.
  •  
  • fixed problem with changing bid by +/- keys in dice minigame on laptop keyboards.
  •  
  • fixed displaying wrong number of equipment parts in "destroy equipment" message box
  •  
  • added missing "Check for updates" option to settings.
  •  
  • some player reported long time of making savegames in full screen. It was possible caused by taking screen shot. Save screen shots can be turned off by console command: game.MakeSaveScreenShot 0 - it should be added to autosaveGame3.con file in Parameters subdirectory of save game.
  •  
  • one change was made which could fix problem with saving multiplayer characters / village. Now if sending data to server fails then game make two more attempts to send.

Two Worlds II releases with a big missunderstanding

Two Worlds II is a great game. With few exceptions Two Worlds II receives excellent ratings in the media. Only the community is furious. What has happened?

Some days ago Topware Interactive has published the map of new Antaloor. At the same time an interactive map of Antaloor was presented on the official site of Two Worlds II. On the interactive map only lower half of the Antaloor map was shown. Nobody told the community that only in this half the singleplayer campaign is played.

Upper half of the map with the big island is exclusive for the multiplayer game. Most players were surprised by these circumstances. Therefore, big discussions are delivered at the moment in the communities.

We have revised the appearance of our site because of the approaching release date of Two Worlds II

In Antaloors spirited in new regions into the marshlands, eleven country and the region of islands. Powerful beings expect us as soon as we meet the new challenges. Therefore the Dragon Queen is keeping watch over our site, inaccessible in her beauty now.  Raisedly and mysteriously she waits in her sanctuary, protected by a powerful orc magician.

Allies or opponent? We will have to seek the answers in the veils which lie over the new Antaloor. A small part of the knowledge comes from time to time. The Antaloor post then has revealed a tiny secret to us again. But it only some are revealed to stir the curiosity up, then where the tension remains, if everything is revealed already prior to the release date

For over two months we wait for a new issue of the Antaloor post. Today Jörg Schindler the PR-Director of Zuxxez entertainment has published a press release:

Dear “Antaloor Post” Readers,
You've probably been wondering about the AP for a while - and waiting for more news from us about the “Two Worlds” universe. Well, your patience will soon be rewarded!
And don't worry... neither the game nor the “Antaloor Post” is being put on ice! But we've been really busy with the game in the last few weeks - there's been so much for us to do with “Two Worlds” that we just haven't had the time to turn our hands to anything else!
However, you'll be pleased to know that preparations for the next issue are already underway - and we'll soon be giving you all the inside info on how the game's progressing!

Curse of Souls - available for free

A good new statement for all friends of Two Worlds: with immediate effekt you can download the multiplayer addon Curse of Souls for free. Below read the complete Press Release from ZuxxeZ:

Karlsruhe, 8th May 2009 – The wonderful world of Antaloor just keeps on growing! The new add-on, “Curse of Souls”, means that there are now four totally new Multiplayer maps with around 40 new quests which will immediately hook you and spirit you away into the fantastic RPG world of “Two Worlds”. One of the new RPG missions involves the player forcing his way into a town besieged by the Orcs - then either catching a traitor red-handed, or searching for a powerful Mage who has hidden himself away near Qudinar and is cooperating with a mysterious secret organization.

For those of you who prefer hard action, you'll get plenty in the PvP mode, where competing teams have to collect magical spheres and get rid of their opponents at the same time. Whoever gets the most points wins the game!

You can download “Curse of Souls” right away - just go to “Updates” on the right of the Support section at www.2-worlds.com! The file size varies between just 100 MB (update from Version 1.6) and 1.2 GB (update from Version 1.0). 

 
Interview with Mirek Dymek - part 2

The Antaloor post No. 58 is published. Part 2 of the questions to Two Worlds: The Temptation are answered by Mirek Dymek.

Moreover, the head of a dragon is to be seen. On the appearance of the dragon is still worked by graphic artists. We hope that these artists soon succeed, because we want to see as soon as possible a screen with a fighting dragon.
 

 
Hero will receive a magic drone

Astonishing news spreads the Antaloor post No. 57  . Our future fighter will receive a magic drone whom he can use to the spying behind the hostile lines. Also one some sabotage will be possible with this practical little assistant.

Here last week we have asked for questions to the developers. This week the first answers are already. It repays to fetch the actual issue from our column Antaloor Post and to read.

In the meantime, many monsters were discovered in the new Antaloor. The dangerous beings can be looked from now on in our column The new Antaloor, article The new monsters

 
Update of the site

It is my intention to bring fan site for the coming role play Two Worlds The Temptation on the same state like our German-speaking site during the next weeks. Our international friends should be also provided by Two Worlds with a wide platform of information

I have acted to the first steps already 2 weeks ago when I have provided the magic sections with extensive descriptions. Today some articles follow for the column " the new Antaloor ". The next weeks are continued these works step by step.

Magic system part 2

As promised ZuxxeZ and Reality Pump with today's edition No. 56 of Antaloor post delivers details to the new magic system . The fact that a total of 6 slots (amulets) will be available for magic spell's we have already learnt last week.

Spell's can be composed as follows. On one side it is fixed from which kind magic should be: A level magic, a magic gun... Then we can further fix effect's like fire, water, air etc. Afterwards it is still about damage height, duration and further attributes. For details actual edition of Newletters is ready in our column Antaloor Post to read up.
