Achievement points and release date
Written by Asbjoern
Wednesday, 23 May 2007

The list of achievement points for the X360 version was revealed today. I guess there's not much more to tell. Tak a look here.

IGN also confirms the release date for the X360 version to be the 18th of July.

What a day for X360 users. I know there's a lot out there, who has been asking questions about this and finally there's news about it. Following the article at IGN, they also revealed that they plan to do a weekly update on Tuesdays about Two Worlds with the list of achivement points to be the first update.

Over the next two months, we'll cover every vital aspect of Two Worlds. You'll learn about the magic system, mounted combat, how reputation works, and much, much more. Be sure to check IGN on Tuesdays for new info on Two Worlds.

Another review

This time it is at ActionTrip.com which awards Two Worlds a score of 62%. In my opinion the review isn't being fair though Two Worlds neither is a flawless game, it still deserves more than this review can offer. Below is an extract:

Overall, we were mostly frustrated while playing this game. Chalk it up to a poorly optimized engine, a dull and generic fantasy world, all drawn from an exceedingly overused gameplay concept.

Preview at CVG
Written by Asbjoern
Thursday, 17 May 2007

There's a new preview up at CVG addressing several gameplay elements of Two Worlds. Especially the below part is a bit peculiar:

There was a slightly weird moment when we found out that in Two Worlds the smoulderingly nubile young lady you can see on the left is your sister. We asked Dirk Hassinger, chairman of the game's US publisher, if he didn't think it was a bit... strange to make the sibling of your in-game character so sexually charged.

"It is important she looks like that," he said in his thick German accent. We were about to respond when he leaned in a little closer than we were comfortable with and spoke again. "It is important she looks like that."

A further delay in the US, UK and Australia
Written by Asbjoern
Thursday, 17 May 2007

SouthPeak Games, who is going to publish Two Worlds in the US, UK and Australia, released a press release yesterday about a small delay for Two Worlds, which means the PC and X360 versions are first going to hit the shelves in July. This is due to the need of play-balancing and testing of the multiplayer to accomodate new features such as horse racing, monster hunting and team matches.

Review at "taken-apart"
Written by Asbjoern
Tuesday, 15 May 2007

The first English review is now online. It's at a rather unknown and new website called "taken-apart". The reviewer is very strict and gives Two Worlds no more than 22% and adds a "very bad". This is to be considered not very serious if you view at multiple factors. The website describes itself like this, it has given S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 37%, it links to videogamessuck.com and the name of it is literally/metaphorically "taken-apart". I'll not add the review to our review section but I thought I would write a newsbit about it anyhow.

PEGI rating
Written by Asbjoern
Saturday, 12 May 2007

Two Worlds has finally been rated by the European PEGI (Pan European Game Information). Even though the German rating board USK chose to rate it 12 years or older, PEGI has instead rated it 16 years or older. The only comment related to the 16+ age rating was, that it contains violence.

We are still awaiting the age rating by the American ESRB board.

Saturday, 12 May 2007

The support menu links on the official website of Two Worlds have recently been updated, now storing a lot of interesting information. It includes problems with getting the game to work properly, a comprehensive Q&A about activation of Two Worlds and more too. You ought to take a visit there and read through the pages. Especially the Q&A about activation.

24/7 remote admin
Written by Asbjoern
Friday, 11 May 2007

As a small note to the offline servers yesterday and today. Dirk P. Hassinger has at the official German forums stated that there's a 24/7 remote admin on the multiplayer now, so interruptions shouldn't occur in the future.
